GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

House System

At Lime Tree School we have four houses - Mercers, Spynes, Holmethorpe and Moors (named after local nature reserves).  Each House Leader is responsible for organising events to raise money for their house chosen charity and to ensure everyone in their house works as a team.  A House Captain is voted in for the year.  Houses can gain tokens during house competitions throughout the school year.  Every child has the opportunity to earn individual house points by demonstrating the Lime Tree School values.

Lime Tree values have been developed in consultation with parents, staff, pupils and govenors and are central to the house system and behaviour policy.  We believe that values are important in the way we live and work and determine our priorities in life.  The house system encourages the children to support each other, be courageous, have a sense of belonging and responsibility, as well as giving the opportunity for competition and pupil leadership (also see Mission and Values).

The Houses

Houses names have been selected from local nature reserves. Select a house name to find out more information on each individual house.
