Reception's Night Time Party

On Wednesday 15th November, both Elephant and Giraffe classes opened up their doors to the Reception children and their families for a night time party. They were invited to come back into school at 5pm, in their pyjamas, to celebrate the learning that has taken place in Reception during the Autumn term so far. Some of the topics that Reception have explored included Space, Nocturnal Animals and the differences between day and night. Reception have also been reading the story How to Catch a Star, by Oliver Jeffers, and writing their own instructions for how to build a rocket.
The children were very excited to be sharing their learning with their special guests and they enjoyed taking part in a treasure hunt around Reception to show off what they had been busy learning about. We finished the night time party with a bedtime story and a hot chocolate, before saying goodnight to our guests.
Thank you to everybody who came along. It was a fantastic evening!
