Extreme Reading Competition

To get children excited about reading we are launching a whole school ‘Extreme Reader’ competition. Where is the most extreme place your child has ever read a book? Please take a photo of your child reading in the most extraordinary place and send it into school with them between Monday 20th February- Wednesday 1st March. These photos will accumulate to celebrate and promote a love of reading and create a fantastic display in our school library! This competition is open for everybody to join in! The winners (child, parent and staff member) will be announced on World Book Day and will receive a book token to spend in their local bookstore, such as WHSmith, Waterstones, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsburys and Tesco.

To celebrate World Book Day we invite your child to come to school on Thursday 2nd March dressed as their favourite book character. Your child is asked to bring in their chosen book linked to their character and a £1 donation. They will be given the opportunity to talk about their favourite book and why they have chosen to dress as this character.
