Supporting Children with Medical Conditions:
In line with recent Government communications on allergy safety in schools, we are working with https://kittmedical.com/ to strengthen our provision.
Prescribed medication for individual children, including adrenaline auto-injectors (AAI) will be requested from families and kept in a secure location at school. It is important that each child's medication, including AAI is clearly marked with the child's name and updated on a regular basis. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure that any medication retained at the school is within its expiry date. It is advised that Parents/Carers provide the school with 2 AAIs for children that are prescribed an AAI.
In addition, the school currently hold spare emergency auto-injectors on site, and trained members of staff are able to administer them if needed in an emergency.
If you require a paper copy of any of our policies please contact the school office: info@limetreeschool.org
